T&T CEO RECEIVES 2011 BRAVA WOMEN’S BUSINESS ACHIEVEMENT AWARD

WASHINGTON, DC, July 11, 2011 – Washington SmartCEO magazine has recognized Ms. Karen Trowbridge, President and CEO of Trowbridge & Trowbridge (T&T), with the 2011 Washington Brava! Women’s Business Achievement Award. This prestigious award celebrates corporate leaders “who combine their irrepressible entrepreneurial spirit with a passion for giving back to the community across the Mid-Atlantic.” The award will be presented July 27 in recognition of Ms. Trowbridge’s leadership in support of federal information technology (IT) and telecommunication systems and her advocacy of local philanthropic initiatives.

Specifically, the award acknowledges Ms. Trowbridge’s role in T&T’s rapid growth of 30 percent per year for each of the last 3 years and her commitment to the health of the communities in which the company operates. “One of our core values is to contribute to the communities in which we live and work,” she said. “It’s important to me that T&T is a good corporate citizen.” To achieve this goal, the company encourages employees to participate in charitable community events and activities and matches employee donations, of both time and money, to charitable organizations.

Ms. Trowbridge, along with the other 2011 Brava! Award honorees, is profiled in the July 2011 issue of Washington SmartCEO magazine, which can be viewed at this link.
