McLean, VA – August 8, 2018 – Trowbridge & Trowbridge, LLC, a customer-focused, innovative Federal solutions provider, is proud to announce that their VP of Civilian Programs, Joseph Mayo, has attained a unique combination of three Risk Management certifications. As the first person in the world to hold a risk management certification from three internationally recognized credentialing bodies, Mayo is a thought leader and subject matter expert in this critical area of federal program sustainment, organizational resilience, and innovation.
Mayo’s newest certification is the Risk Management Society (RIMS) Certified Risk Management Professional (CRMP). Currently there are only 170 people in the world who have attained this eminent certification. He also holds risk management certifications from two additional credentialing bodies; Project Management Institute (PMI) and Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA). Trowbridge President and CEO, Karen Trowbridge said, “We’re excited about the possibilities that Joe’s unique set of credentials provides to our organization and to our customers within the Federal government.”
The in-depth accreditation process for RIMS-CRMP means that Mayo has extensive knowledge and expertise to apply in five critical domains: Analyzing the Business Model, Designing Organizational Risk Strategies, Developing Organizational Risk Competency, Implementing the Risk Process, and in Supporting Decision Making. Additionally, Mayo has written numerous articles and previously authored several books on risk management, providing a unique intersection of esoteric knowledge and practical application which will be utilized to the advantage of Trowbridge and its customers.
Cass Panciocco, Trowbridge COO, added, “Joe’s profoundly informed perspective will allow Trowbridge to apply an increased focus on long-term organizational vision, value creation, business strategy, governance, and the assurance that goals are aligned with stakeholders’ expectations. This will be put to the direct advantage of our customers, teammates, and our own infrastructure.”
The RIMS-CRMP philosophy to risk management holds basic tenants that dovetail directly with the critical goals of the newly announced DHS Risk Management Center. Chiefly, to create frameworks that allow the government and industry to collaboratively manage risk and identify and initiate specific cross-sector activities to address threats as they arise. The RIMS-CRMP holds official accreditation from the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) under ISO/IEC 17024:2012.
