Alan B. Thomas

Executive VP, Special Projects

Alan Thomas is responsible for providing leadership and guidance to the Executive Team. As the Executive Vice President of Special Projects he plays a critical role in the areas of strategic planning and analysis, mergers and acquisitions, and best practices for organizational efficiency and effectiveness.

Thomas has over 25 years of experience in delivering organizational change to both private sector GOVCON companies and Government entities which gives him a unique perspective on how to be successful to both sets of stakeholders. In addition to his previous engagement as Commissioner, Federal Acquisition for the General Services Administration, Thomas started his executive career as a Presidential Management Fellow supporting the Department of the Army, Deputy Chief of Staff (Logistics). He has had successive high-level engagements for both government and industry (Booz Allen, Compusearch, and Data Networks Corp). Thomas has been a Program Analyst and a Program Manager for the Office of the Secretary of Defense

Thomas has Master’s in Business Administration, from the Carnegie Mellon University’s, Tepper School of Business; a Master of Public Affairs from University of Texas at Austin, LBJ School of Public Affairs; and a Bachelor of Arts in History from Grinnell College.
