In August of 2013, the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) announced some changes to the regulations supporting the Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA). There were a number of changes made which will make it easier for Vietnam era veterans, special disabled veterans, and veterans who served on active duty during a conflict to find and apply for contracting jobs.
VEVRAA requires employers doing business with the federal government to take affirmative action to recruit and hire veterans, including those recently separated from the Armed Forces. T&T has a proud history of hiring veterans and currently over 25% of our employee population self-identifies as veterans, and over 8% identify as Protected Veterans.
